Thanks so much jrial, that's really nice to hear!

I've got the car back in the garage but I'm having some trouble getting started back up on it again. This is why I was loathe to stop working last fall when I was on a pretty good roll, I was afraid this would happen. I probably would have been back at it on wednesday but I got a headache that is going into its third day now (which is not unusual for me).

Priya,

I am sure you will find your 'groove' again. I know what you mean on how it can be difficult to get back to the point of where you where when you stopped working on it.
I am quite confident that you will be back up to full throttle and multi-tasking on numerous projects on it before you know it.

Hope your headache goes away...fast.

Motivation or lack there of, combined with health bs is my biggest hurdle to my 69 project,
I blame things like friends or techs who damage my car or guys who sell me 4 speeds as ready to go that are rusty needing rebuilt cores.

All smoke and mirrors for me,

i try super hard daily really try to push myself past it, even to do a tiny bit, some times go okay others not so much so but i eat that elephant one bite at a time,

Before yours hibernated for winter you were nothing short of kicking *** on it, i have zero doubt that drive will return to you and your thread will be a good reason for me to come to the forum...

Thanks for the encouragement Dub Fortunately the headeaches aren't severe but they can last up to a week, although typically not longer than three days. It wears you down when it goes on for so long

I really appreciate that Bats

That's what I need to remember, try real hard to push past it, even to do a tiny bit, but just get something done.

I hope you're able to get on a roll, you've certainly had a lot of real gut-punches on your car.

It's nice to have you here.

Thanks,

Im not superstitious and have owned a lot of vehicles but this 69 seems to have more bad luck than all my past vettes combined, lol,

Even before i got it, a rich kid had it 73 iezed and a 671 blower added, then never drove it, parts went bye bye and 20 years later it was sold to cheat a divorce settlement to a guy who hated vettes, sat on it one year and flipped it,

Then i get it, and you know how that went, but i really like this car, it has heart and soul and many dont,
So its a keeper,

I do not know how you do it. If I had a headache for a week...regardless if it was a mild one or a severe one. I would literally go insane.

When I feel one coming on...I STOP and try to chill out and hope that it goes way before it gains any strength and makes my quality of life not be so good.

Hope you get this one to go away.

Yes, it was real bad several years ago. I'd get a headache that would last 3-10 days, then I'd be okay for 3 or 4 days and then another headache lasting 3-10 days. It was like that for about 3 years, it was pretty taxing. Its not as bad now, I get a headache that will last 1 to 3 days and then I'm usually good for 1 to 3 weeks or so.

They're moderate headaches, so its not like "Oh, I can't stand another minute of this", but it does get tiring as the days go on. Somehow it doesn't hurt my mood that much, I'm a very happy woman these days despite it all.

Present headache is easing off a bit, I'm thinking about heading out to the garage in a bit.

Which clearly can be felt in how you are dealing with your custom project and the determination you have to make your car your own.

Having a positive attitude does go a long way...or at least I think it does.

Default Vette

Hi Pryia, you know how long I have been working on my 69, and now a 71. Often stuff like this happens to me, no headache but motivation. Now for me to get energy I need to drink coffee. When I have no mojo for the shop I go anyway with my coffee and just sit and stare at the projects. Sooner or later the coffee kicks in and before you know it I am either thinking of doing something or actually getting up and poking around to remember where I was. Take your favorite drink and go stare at your project.

That's been part of my problem around about 2 or 3 pm when I'd normally be going out to work on the car I often start feeling very sleepy and its hard not to go take a nap for an hour or two. I bought some caffeine pills a few days ago figuring I'd give that a try.

That`s great to hear! Sometimes it helps me o sit & look through the pictures... from when we first bought it at the beginning.... through to where it is now. Shows you how MUCH you`ve already accomplished.

Well......no wonder.....I'd have a relapse too if sanding was at the top of the list! What is #2 or #3 on the list?

But......more seriously......it's good to hear you are feeling better.

I personally get in a funk sometimes and can't even look at projects... Sometimes lasts for months. If i get a rash of migraines I pretty much have to give up until body settle down again.
Glad you're feeling better.
