I set one of my seat cushions in front of me by the TV and have put the House of Kolors Hot Pink Pearl and Ford Blue Candy Metallic test panels on it to give me an idea of how each colour looks with the interior. I'm back leaning towards the hot pink pearl now - I can't come up with a solid decision! I took these pictures but the Ford Blue Candy Metallic doesn't seem to photograph too well, it looks quite a bit different in person, a lot more vivid. I tried all manner of positions and lighting but this was the closest I could get:
Both colours vary quite a bit in appearance depending on the angle and lighting. The hot pink has a pinky/purpley look to it at some angles I like a great deal, more similar to the pictures of the Celica above.
Check out the Dodge electric blue from 2002 it think it was.
That's the blue I used for part of the body on my SX/4 in my avatar. Its pretty nice but I like the Ford Blue Candy Metallic better. The Dodge electric blue looks a bit on the dark side in the shade or an overcast day.
Nah. Leave it the orig color. What is that colour's name? Turd-something?
Definitely won't be leaving it brown. When I first looked at the car I said I'd be painting it a different colour. I mentioned hot pink and the owner's husband cringed.
Try the Dodge viper blue..I painted my old trans am with it and it got more compliments than any car iv had except my candy Brandywine Corvette.
Thanks, but if I paint it blue its going to be the Ford Blue Candy Metallic. It doesn't look special on the test panel and I couldn't take a good picture of it, but everytime I see a newer Ford in that colour I think "Holy cow! That's gorgeous!"
It is a really nice colour. The thing that makes me hesitant on the HOK hot pink pearl is that while at some angles I prefer it to the Ford Blue Candy Metallic, at some angles I don't particularly like it. I do want something that's different from all the colours you see all the time so I might still go with the hot pink pearl.

You are correct on the Dodge electric 2002 blue, in the garage or under a carport it looks like a real dark blue, even on cloudy days its a color changer.
That pink you have there is a nice color. But the problem with pink is that if and when you might want to sell it you have a very small market. I know you are keeping it forever but one day you may need to sell it or want another car.

Have you seen the metallic and velocity blue colors on the new 2019 F type Jaguar?
Awesome colors.
They also have a British racing metallic green I'm looking at.
So for me I'm having to choose black, blue or green.
Color is a big step.
At least I have time to decide.

It's going to turn out great whatever color you choose. Your work has been inspiring to say the least. Speaking of pink though that car above is almost the same as the Barbie Vette.

I have not seen those colours, I'll keep an eye out for them.
I just looked at my first post in this thread, December 2015. If I'm closing in on halfway done I still have another 3 years or so to go so lots of time to decide, lol!
