I'm just giving ole Mike the opportunity to really make himself look good. Of course, after his boss sees the entire string, he may get fired for not bringing it to his attention sooner. Imagine that..........lol.........

I'll deal with ole Mikey a bit more, but rest assured I will go over his head if I need to. I wonder if Mikey is new?

glad ur back, and hate that they are starting to play games. Hopefully they realize how much money is in the pockets of some of these forum members primarily to be spent on their vettes. Maybe not with blueprint.

I would let him know. Maybe you can get this resolved quick! What could it hurt at this point? There are a lot of knowlegable people that have gone to bat for you here as far as the damage obviously not your fault. I think this block had a small crack in the cylinder wall that was missed during the rebuild process.

didn't somebody already send him the thread info? he probably forgot about it or deleted the email....how hard would it be for him to find this thead? sometimes these threads popup on google searches so i guess it couldn't hurt to let him see it.

Here is what matters:From Marshall's own web site...

Professional Products dual plane satin finish intake manifold
9.5 to 1 compression
New chrome valve covers
Brass freeze plugs
Dyno tested – and shipped with results
Comes with 24 month / 24,000 mile warranty
-----------------------------------------------
Now I may have been born behind a plow, but I think that last statement regarding the 24 month/24,000 mile warranty has some weight....
At this point arguments about pistons and their clearances have little to do with the outcome...it all has to do with the wording of the "warranty" and product as delivered...note statement about "Dyno tested and shipped with results.."
I'm drunk...sorry...

Welcome back MsVetteman, none too soon as we were going crazy waiting for updates, not that Jim didnt do a spectacular job. I still would push or at least inquire when the time comes for a refund and take your business elsewhere. A decent upgrade is the bare minimum. What the heck do you figure your time is worth? How many hours for the in and out? How many hours for lugging that motor around to different rebuilders. I'm sorry but I pulled my old motor and re-installed a new one and it wasnt something I look forward to doing again anytime soon. The thought of doing it a few weeks later kills me. Didnt you have a thread last year where you were having problems setting up your old motor? I seem to remember something about carb issues, changing jets or rods or am I mistaken? Seems like you went though a lot only to buy a new motor to eliminate the old problems and start fresh only to have this happen. Man if you didnt have bad luck you'd have none. I said it before and I'll say it again, I got the 290hp GM crate for @ $1700 w/ shipping for my 79 and couldnt be happier. 100 hp over stock, assembled by GM, not Bubba, and a 3 yr 50k warranty. Not a real tire smoker but sure as hell is reliable.
Just my .02, ESU

heads $275

paint the al heads black and it looks like a stock L48

I'm not a car mechanic myself, but a lot of my friends are. I've forwarded the URL of this thread to them. If this issue is not resolved properly you can be sure it will cause your supplier some lost business.
