New crate engine is now a steam engine....bad problem...

(at the track of course).
.........
If I get the 383, (I'm not expecting anything), you're in trouble!!
at his point, I'm just ready to
Hey, don't forget the crawfish boil, April 8th, a week from this Saturday. And all vettsters around the area are invited!! I would like to see some of your cars!! Maybe we can have a burnout contest on the private roads!! Brett?
To MVM: I hope that you get an upgrade engine as a replacement, but in reality I expect that the most they offer you is a replacement of what you had ordered, the so called 355. At that I would ask for a refund, to which I think they will offer a partial one....no refund on shipping cost of sending you the engine. From there you have to decide how much the battle is worth to you.
I sure hope I am wrong about this and they do take care of you with a nice 383.
I am not in the market for an engine, just rebuilt my own, but regardless of the outcome, I will never buy from this company. I should have bought the GM 350 crate engine....wouild have been less than what I ended up spending on my engine and would have gotten more.
Keeping my finger crossed for ya....

Here's the reply I got from an e-mail I sent the company because I was curious as to their side. As follows:
Bryan:
What forum did you see it on? We are aware of this and I can tell you that
things like this are just like a bunch of women sitting around the beauty
parlor gossiping about what is going on. The facts of the matter are as
follows:
1.) Customer drove car with engine installed after dropping distributor in
an not timing it! What does this say about the installer?
2.) Just like Wal-Mart if you want to return something you have to return
the product to where you purchased it from before anything can happen. This
has not happened as of yet.
3.) The engine was in fact dyno'd as all of our engines are dyno'd. The
issue with the dyno sheet is that it was not a DTS dyno sheet. We dyno all
engines on a run in dyno and verify that the horsepower and torque is at or
above what we advertise it to be and we send out a standard dyno sheet that
is not a DTS dyno sheet. We do not miss lead anyone or lie about the
process that we do.
4.) All engines are built in house. We do not sub let any work on our
Blueprint Line. Blueprint is one Division of Marshall Engines and we have
exacting tolerances for the line and great success.
5.) Warranty percentage rate on the Blueprint line is below industry
average because we dyno test every engine.
6.) I personally believe in the product and the customer service for this
company, not just because I work here but because it is in fact the way that
we say it is. The problem that the customer has is un fortunate but that is
why their is a warranty on the product because anything mechanical can have
a parts or workmanship problem. We honor it. I have even seen Blueprint
engines go the extra mile for a customer that lost an engine because of
something that they did. We repaired the engine for him at cost and the
customer was estacic.
7.) Why someone would get a bunch of people in an up roar when they have
not even followed the warranty instructions or the installation instructions
is beyond me unless he has something to hide. The customer has not been 100
% up front with us and this concerns me. What else concerns me is that I
have no problem with a third party looking at the engine to determine
failure. If I had something to hide why would we allow that?
Purchasing a Blueprint engine is the right answer because it is the best
value on the market today. You are more then welcome to come to the plant
and see what we do. We have nothing to hide.

Sounds PO'd and passionate about his company. I won't even touch the first three words of number 2 though.

Estacic? You repaired his motor at cost, that he supposably tore up, and he was Estacic? (sic).

I WAS NEVER, REPEAT NEVER ASKED A QUESTION ABOUT MY TIMING WHEN QUESTIONED BY YOU CLAIMS PEOPLE. NEVER. I TOLD THE TRUTH HERE, AND IT'S THE TRUTH. SO NOW YOU AUTOMATICALLY PUT THE BLAME ON ME? HOW DO YOU KNOW THE TIMING WASN'T CORRECT?
2.) Just like Wal-Mart if you want to return something you have to return

ARE YOU COMPARING YOUR COMPANY TO WALMART? I'LL LEAVE THIS ALONE.

WHAT? YOU ARE STILL SAYING YOUR ADVERTISING ISN'T MISLEADING? HOLY CRAP. AND YOU STATE THAT PUBLICALLY?

ONLY PROBLEM IS, MINE WAS SHIPPED FROM A COMPANY CALLED GOODMAN AUTO REPAIR, IN PLATTE CITY, MO.
5.) Warranty percentage rate on the Blueprint line is below industry
average because we dyno test every engine.
YOU DO?

ALREADY REPLIED TO THE ESTACIC COMMENT.
