Ok! Possible problem! Scraping the t-tops tonight and trying to figure out if this is damaged fiberglass or weird looking paint.? Anyone got input here?
This is the color the wife wants me to paint my Vette, I told her that since I will most likely be doing the painting I in no way can do that! A beautiful car/color though

Just a know nothing novice opinion here but I would smooth it out a bit to get anything lose off of it and epoxy prime it.... Take it for what it's worth
It looks like factory sealer/epoxy. I wouldn't scrape it off unless it was peeling.
Can you take a pic farther back so we can see where on the t top its located?

Sorry didnt get to take a picture this morning. This is drivers sidefront corner but varies all over the t top. The brown color is the original the top paint.
So tonight we almost completed the main body scraping. Not sure why the thin coat of Bondo is on this side but I assume to make it good and straight. All that is left is a few small spots and the door jambs. Getting really close to primer as there isn't much body work to do.

I'm in brother, one weekend and we'll have her ready to go! Actually once I figured out how to hold the blade, it peeled off pretty easy for the most part. I am not sure of it was just a bad paint job or what but the razor blade is a great tool. Thanks!
If you're never gonna sell it the go for the newer seats
I wouldn't say they are much more comfortable but they are a little better because of the extra cushion and side bolsters.

I did a jetski once myself and used a paint scrap/razor blade tool probably like you used too. Original paint, peeled right off. What didn't peel off or i couldn't fit the blade into, i used a newer style paint stripper on it. It goes down as a paste and when it changes color the paint comes off with the paste it was very cool stuff. My be helpful to you for those hard to get too places.
Did you have any trouble with the razor trying to dig into the fiberglass?

What is the name of the paste you used? I have to do the door jambs this weekend and may need something to help. I had no trouble digging into the fiberglass at all. Once you fogure out what angle work best depending on how thick the paint is, it is pretty easy. The thinner the paint the more difficult is has been for me.
