Pretty pumped about the new missing/adding parts for my car! I can't wait to get them on. I do need to find the side pieces for the spoiler and tail fin to complete the set up.

If you didn't have that on then there's your answer as to why your motor was heating up

ummmm.... when I asked whether your spoiler was in place, your answer should have been "no"

I don't remember what that stuff was called, it wasn't anything to special, i think i picked it up at either a walmart or one of the big box hardware stores. I do remember having a citrus orange smell too it, it went on white and turned to green when done, or maybe the other way around...

side note, if you find that paste stripper, in the tough to get to places i actually used a good sturdy spoon to peel the paint off .

I don't recall the spoiler question but the only 78 that came with a spoiler was the Indy car which mine is not! Hahaha

Did you shoot your car or someone else?

sigh.... give them a Corvette and they get all lippy.

they all come with a small spoiler under the front of the car.... though some people remove them (most times, unintentionally). It's not an option, your car will not cool properly without it....

and did you ever plug the gap on top of the radiator?

Hahaha!!! I didn't know that, I did plug the gap at the top of the radiator.

Anyone ever take out the innere fenders to sand, clean and paint? How much of a PITA is it?

Inner fenders are bonded to your front clip. It would be amazing to me if you got them out without un-bonding the front end, which takes hours and you do not want to do it. Just paint them while you have the motor out.

by the way, those new spoiler pieces look good!

Hey that is what I was thinking but thought I would ask. The engine is already back in so I will do it while painting the car. I haven't seen Dale yet to pick them up bu will get out there this week.

BTW guys, chstitans42 is who I got the parts from and he sold my friend a 75 that I get to help restore at some point. If you need used parts hit him up.

I have to sand them due to someone putting an undercoating that is peeling off and then I will try that.

If anyone knows where I can get the front side pieces to the spoiler, that would be great! Used preferably! Let me know.

Contemporary corvette in Bristol Pennsylvania is the only place I know that has a huge inventory of used corvette parts and they ship. I think their eBay name is fparts. They're trust worthy

I finally got caught back up on the progress, and all I can say is Wow!

I am so looking forward to the finished images. You are giving the vette a new life.

Once you're done I may have to send my C4 to you for a touch up
