last coat heavy should be good just be carful with the sanding always go off the edge not down on to it!! same with buffing make sure the wheel is spinning off the edge and not down on to the edge. and keep it moving dont stay in one spot any questions i can come over and show ya plus whil sanding with the 1200 grit + do an x pattern

if its in the clear and not to bad it will come out with the sanding i had a moth hit my hood and we got most of it out , i could still see the spot cause i knew what happened but other people couldnt tell

i also went 5-6 coats of clear too if it looks bad idk hard to say without being right there to see, but if you still in time frame of coats i would do another just for the fact of having to color sand a problem out
FC you know i'm a big fan of silver paint, it looks very nice, but was the factory paint no good anymore? I'm just curious why go through all the trouble to repaint a silver car silver?
side note, a "professional" painter did my car, your paint looks way better then mine, at least your fenders and hood and doors all match .

Hahaha! The paint was cracked and peeling off and was not the factory paint. I was originally going to paint it the candy blue but when my painter bailed I decided that was a bigger challenge than I should take on having never held a paint gun before. I went with the silver because my wife really liked it and I saw a Vette last year nearly the same color and really liked it. The silver now is much darker than what I peeled off of the car.
That's impressive work. This really encourages me. I've wanted to try painting my own car. So far I've only ever sprayed parts and the exterior of a house.
