These are for a small block app, but you probably get the idea:
I don't see any of those listed for my car. I simply can't find the words to express my appreciation....so I'm not even going to try.

Thanks danc24, I’ve been wondering if this would fit on a BB car with headers. I called Borgeson, they sent me a sheet that showed the dimension from the mounting face to the inner most dimension (the part of the box that’s nearest the headers) and then verified over the phone as well. It’s supposed to be 2 1/2” from the frame rail to the innermost part of the box, so like yours it’ll be tight but should go. Next on my to do list for sure!

Couple of questions ...

Will this upgrade work on a stock 74 Big Block?

For those who have actually installed the upgrade ... Is the upgrade an improvement over the stock station wagon steering system ?

I appreciate any input.....

PS.....I guess I should have read through to the end......looks like it will work fine with stock exhaust!

I'd do it just to get rid of the ram and valve, myself...

I think i'm going to install the U-joint on mine this year, I don't like how close the rag joint gets to my headers.

also, my rag joint came loose once already, even though I have blue loc-tite on all the fasteners. has anyone else had the problem? I noticed a knocking noise when turning, and immediately checked the rag joint.

I've COMPLETELY rebuilt the entire steering system, valve, power rod, all rubber, ball joints. Rod ends, idler / pitman arms and it still wanders l & r so bad you cannot exceed about 60 mpg. I think the original box is just worn out. I'm ready to go to the Borgenson. I'm afraid to replace the stock box and find it doesn't fix!

I have a rebuilt stock box and ram I will sell very cheap plus shipping. Have pictures if interested please pm me.

But Borgeson is the way to go. I wasted my money rebuilding the stock system.

Just my honest opinion.

That's why I did it! Just to clean up. The ram and control valve just look like such an afterthought.

Just ordered mine from Drew for $569.93 plus tax, with free shipping. Looks like I'll have something to do pretty soon- fingers crossed on fitting it in with my headers. Thanks qwank!

BTW, I fudged the numbers I sent you. I thought it was 5 5/8" but it was actually 8 5/5". Oh well.

You will need two for the steering box. They convert an O-ring fitting to a flared fitting that are on your new hoses. I have a new pump and didnt need an adapter for that but you may. One of the brass adapters I had to tap in to get it to seat, the other one went in easy. Tighten your hoses down real good so you have no leaks.

Thanks, that makes sense, have not opened the steering gear box yet so had not looked. The power steering pump is a rebuilt one so will have to look, did not unscrew the old hose, cut it instead and left it to drain so not sure, will look in the rebuilt pump.
Thanks!

When you remove the hose from the pump and if it's a flared fitting then you won't need the adapter.

Make sure you put the adapters in the steering box before you install it in the car. If you have to press in any of the adapters they are hard to get at when the box is in the car.

Thanks. I was also thinking since I am putting the rebuilt pump in I would hook the hoses up there first and maybe try to start them in the box as well before I mount the pump. Alternator is off and exhaust pipes are off and thinking of removing the exhaust manifold if it would help. (Automatic so not clutch linkage to worry with) Any thoughts on all that?
