Bee jay,
If you are still in need of a p/s pulley, I have a dirty dingo one I bought for my ls swap but decided to go a different direction.
You are welcome to it if you want. I also have a Turn One pulley that is in between size wise of stock and d.dingo one.
Here is a photo comparing the three.
let me know if you are interested.

Yes to the best of my memory, it was just pressed on, and only to the point where the belts lined up just right. I was a little worried that maybe it would slip, but it hasn't in maybe 6 years of use. Have never thrown a belt*. I found another picture for you to show you where the pulley lines up with the control arm. Your result could be a little different depending on where you position the motor. My case, the original bell housing and four speed are in the stock position.
Hope this helps.

My coil harnesses arrived, but no labeling as to which coil to hook up each connector. These diagrams proved very helpful. I guess I could have looked under the hood of the 427 Convertible or my 6.0 truck.

Glad you received it! Thanks for letting me know it arrived.
As to Gordon's interest on the fit, I had it installed on my stock accessory drive a d it gave the clearance needed to the control arm. The press fit was about not allowed, maybe a tad tighter. I think I measured it to be about a.0015 interference fit.
Typical press fit as was the original pulley.
Just keep cranking the installer tool until belt is lined up, and your done.

I decided to return my 427 Convertible to stock, so I liberated these valve covers. My coils and plug wires arrived so I installed those, and I also installed the power steering pulley. Gordo, it went right on, no shims needed. The outside of the pulley is now only 12.25” from the center of water pulley. I need to get a starter, and then I’m done. I’ll start removing the L-82 383 when the rains stop. Maybe I’ll have an LS7 427 for autocross season.

The oil tank and lines showed up. OMGosh, this sucker is huge! 6” across and 23” long. I had planned on putting it on the passenger side firewall where my accusump, 4” diameter, now, but I’m not sure it will fit between the frame and headers. I may have to move on to plan b or c.

Is anyone running poly engine mounts and having to shield them with their LS swap ? The headers if too close i have read have melted the mounts..
If running ceramic coating do we need to be worried about it?

If you're worried, shield them. I did and 7 years on, everything is fine. I don't see what difference a ceramic coating would make. It's all radiant heat. A wrap might make a difference. My mounts came with a pretty substantial hunk of metal and I added a shield to the cast iron manifold. I don't seem to have a complete picture of the two together..
p.s. R6, It's Bee Jays thread, hopefully this kind of stuff contributes. I was reluctant to post. Your question maybe belongs on its own.

I run solid motor mounts with my race balanced L82 383, and I plan to use them with this LS7. It was the best thing I ever did to stiffen up my front end. I used to see a lot of movement up ther before while racing.

Thanks Gordon. I guess once I get the 383 out, I'll know for sure if I can make it fit. Dang it, a forum member offered me a Peterson tank a while back. I wonder if he still. has it? This Z06 tank and lines was not cheap. Actually, nothing about this conversion has been cheap, except for the almost free LS7.
Has anyone mounted a ZO6 oil tank in a C3. I'd love to see a picture. I thought I did once.

Ignatz, Please feel free to post anything relevant. It will help me, and others that try this later. You guys are great, helpful, and like Jeff, very generous. I wish the C6 ZO6/ZR1 forum was more like this one. Those guys have deep pockets, and don't suffer rookie do it your self hot rodders very well. Maybe I'm being unfair, only a couple of guys are like that, but one bad apple..........
