Then i saw this and ordered two cables on Sunday. Well they arrived today and I just got done putting it in the coupe. Works just as I expected. Whew! cuz
I had modified the ash tray to hold the iPod and was starting to think I did it for nothing.

Would really like to see your ashtray mod, in pics!

Does the Peripheral setup from eBay specify a black or white choice in cables between the unit and the iPod? I've seen pics of both, but want only the black.

When I bought mine last year, I was never asked what color I wanted - so I'd assume there's only one color available
You might want to check the temperature in your console, I have read where someone else used theirs there, and the battery died, then the disc warped. I put my hand in the console after driving it only a few miles, it was hotter than hell in there. My next step is to install the insulation kit from Crazy Cowboy. Then I will see if it's still too hot to store it in there. Until that time, I just lay it next to the shifter. David
I too found the console to be too hot. It sure would be great to store it there. I am thinking of running a small line from one of my AC ducts to the console.

Sweet idea! Then combine the console with a cup holder, and you have a cold drink at all times.
When you hit the next button does yours go to the next song as you expect? Mine seems to just cycle through the same three of four songs. If I just let it play it's like it thinks my ipod is a CD and will just play the same 10 songs over and over!!

I almost always keep shuffle turned on on my iPod.
If I use the Next button on the HU, it does as you describe.
If I use the Next button on the iPod, or just let it play through, it plays all the songs in the playlist.
Yet another reason why I like using the ProClip mount to keep the iPod visible and accessible.
Do they make any other connectors other then iPod? I have a Razor phone with 2 gig of memory that does what I want. Don't want to buy an ipod. The razor uses a USB plug that I have a cassette adapter for my other car. It would be cool if they would come up with a Blue Tooth set up.

Ok, I need some help. I understand that some products are adapters that click into the iPod, and some are cables that either attach to the back of the headunit in the dashboard, or to the cabling in the trunk if you have a CD Changer in the trunk. But I'm confused as to which is which. These are all mentioned above:
PXHGM4
IPOD2Car
GM iSimple
GMH20T
Peripheral PXDP
I have a CD Changer that I would gladly do without (and may then sell). There's a cable attached to it that I'm thinking I would then connect to one of the cables, above, and route it under the channel to the car interior, as shown by UnionLandlord.
Question: Seems the GM iSimple is all I need, and it even seems to have a holder for the iPod to click into. Will that be all I need, so that I need not be concerned with the IPOD2CAR or the PXHGM4? Is the BestBuy solution the best?
Meanwhile, you all may like this ProClip hookup that I use sometimes in the C5 for my Garmin GPS iQue 3600. It clicks onto the dashboard alongside the headunit, and you can attach any peripheral device you want. I modified my own Garmin adaptor to attach to the ProClip, but they make every adaptor you would need to attach to the base, including for iPods...these then fit into the ProClip. It need not be glued or permanently affixed to the dashboard...it just clicks in and out easily.
This is from the ProClip website...note the clip mounted to the right of the headunit. http://www.proclipusa.com/ then navigate using the "vehicle mounts" on the menu on the left. Can find a mount for iPod by navigating in "device mounts." You need both, unless you want to modify the vehicle mount like I did for my GPS.

I thought these questions had been answered, but maybe not.
Here we go!
PXHGM4:
used to hook up with the factory head unit without the CD changer in the trunk. See pic below. See my post #46 for connections.
IPOD2CAR:
Shown below. The white box that connects to your stereo via an adapter cable and then connects to your IPOD.
GMH20T:
Cable used for connecting your in trunk CD changer to IPOD2CAR. Shown in pic above.
PXHGM2/AB-GM10:
Same purpose as the GMH20T, just made by a different manufacturer.
I hope this helps. I am not familiar with the GM iSimple and Peripheral PXDP
I am not familiar with the Proclips mount. They look very nice. They are pricey though. About $55 with everything. You can find a lot of other choice on ebay for a lot less.

I just bought this IPOD holder from an ebay vendor for $6.47 including shipping and insurance. I'll post how it works out when I receive it.
