I don't see why someone would want an LED strip in their headlights. That IMO will totally take away from the look of the lights. If someone wanted a turn signal, I would get Halo's and wire those so they flash when signalling.
That's it!!! That's exactly what I was hoping these would look like without the the turnsignal. That's what I wanted when we first talked about these a few months ago.

New 55w HID kits came in. Here's a comparison shot of the 4300K 55w kit (left) vs the 6000K 35w kit (right):
Horrible rain prevented any shroud work today, but tomorrow's going to have sunny skies
Hard to tell from the pic, but is 6000K THAT blue in reality or is it just looking blue relative to the 4300K? I really dont blue headlights LOL!! but dont want the standard looking yellow headlights either. I gotta have that Big Pimpin look YO!!! LOL!
^ From my experience 6K are pretty blue, especially in a projector lens. If you look at some cars that dont even have HID's but are projectrs from far away you see blue, but then as they get closer they turn yellow. Personally I will be going with 4300 or 5000. They are alot brighter/whiter but still have a tint of blue to them.

Thank Quik. I think I will follow your lead and go with 5000K. Better safe than sorry. I need the brightest, whitest light I can get.

The camera did a decent job capturing the actual colors. The 4300K is a halogen-ish color.

5000K is pure bright white. (like an LED)
Thank ya much.
'Nother question -will the Halo's that you will be offering be, in your opinion, bright enough to be used as DRL's? (Be easily seen in bright sunlight)

They're very bright, but as far as DRL use, i'll have to check.

Maybe it's just my older eyes, but I disagree, George. I perceive the 4300k as a pure white like LED, whereas the 5000k are almost "silvery white" in appearance, which I actually like a great deal. I've been running 55w 5000k for some time now and like them a great deal.
For people to really get a sense for how blue those 6000k are, don't point 'em at a white garage door. Point 'em at the pavement. The blacktop sucks up that 6000k output.
I've finished pouring the bondo into the molds and sanded down the molds to their final shape. I was going to leave it like that but felt the bondo wouldn't hold up well to repeated thermoforming. I layed a sheet of woven fiberglass mat over the entire mold to make sure it can withstand repeated molding.
No pics this time....but it's beginning to look a lot like christmas....in the shop

When the shrouds are ready send me a set and I will do the hydrocarbon on them for you.
Pat
Well now dangit!! I was just gonna paint my shrouds EB to match the car, but now you have thrown a big dang wrench into that idea!! LOL! I may have to take you up on the idea of doing hydrocarbon on the shrouds. Might look pretty dang nifty against the EB paint! Oh, decisions, decisions!!
I'm going to have my manufacturer build 5 sets for the first "feeler" production run. 4 will go to the people in the spot saver program and 1 set will go to some lucky local who will get a free install so i can take pictures for the install guide.
