** C7 Reported issues and resolutions thread **
I am sorry that you have had troubles with your dealer and GM. If you have not retained an attorney, I would be happy to look into your case. I cannot guarantee a different outcome, but I can get another set of eyes on your case. If you have retained an attorney, unfortunately I am unable to assist. Please send me a PM with your case number, VIN and name.
I want to fully understand what has happened with your C7. Will you also send me more details. I look forward to your PM.
Thank you,
Kelly J.

I have spoken to an attorney, but we do not have a contract yet. That will probably happen this week. I am open to just about anything at this point. What I did not mention in my previous threads is that i did not order the car myself. I was still on the sidelines regarding the first year out of the gate. It was on the showroom floor and had 60 miles on the odo. Nevertheless, it was sold to me as a new - first owner with all applicable warranties. I was going to wait until 2015, but got caught up in the test drive. So I purchased it, knowing that there were some issues with the panels. But like I said, the dealership said that these would be corrected. It was not purchased as “As Is” ya know! If you have some alternative action to the plan I have set in motion, i am honestly open to any resolution that would avert litigation. It will be costly and probably will not go in my favor. After all, I’m a little fish compared to the dealership and GM. My odds of getting the car replaced is slim under the lemon law if GM maintains that the misalignments are within factory specification. I find this hard to fathom though. One would think they would not want to sell a new C7 with these defects. Regardless of the odds, I won’t just roll over without a fight. But on the other hand, I am not stupid. If there is another avenue to some sort of resolution, I am willing to listen.

My C7 is light years ahead of my 13 Grand Sport. Would like to know about when it was built it is somewhere around 10,500 built guessing around October? My car is quieter, smoother riding, better handling than my C6 getting old so glad I didn't wait it's not perfect but there was only one of those and he wasn't a car. Oh, yeah, almost forgot gas mileage is super.
Blessings,
Al

Kelly. Thank you for the reply. My case number is 71-1269817761. I noticed that you signed as a customer care or services rep in your reply. Are you with GM?

After several visits to the dealer service department and a complete flash a week ago, I just experience for the 1st time at 1500 miles the radio screen going blank and disconnected my Bluetooth phone call in the middle of a conversation then it did it 2 more times yesterday and today while on a call the unit shuts down to a complete dark screen and then it turns back on looking for the phone and all connections. What happened with GM ordering new radio units by February?

He purchased the car AFTER examining it in person?
Now he is complaining about panel fitments?
The picture he posted dosen't depict a horrible fitment issue!
What a hot head!
No wonder no one wants to see him!

Hopefully, Chevy Customer Service can get this resolved before the lawyers get involved.

Who said anything about a law suit? But lawyers know more than I do. And, they can probably communicate to the dealership better than I can at this point. Hell, GM wouldn't even approve replacing the bumper. At the very least, parts should be replaced if they don't fit. This is when I sort of lost my composure with the entire ordeal. So what's your deal anyway? Are you some GM mole attempting to discount this as BS to discredit my post? This is GM's flagship vehicle, the NA Car of the Year, right! Such a distinguished award deserves scrutiny, and I think it is appropriate. It's not a corolla. At the very least, the panels should fit as well as their previous generations. But your right, this probably won't go anywhere and will give me nothing but heartburn, but I don't think I should just let the dealership or GM roll me over. I appreciate your concern, though!

I am trying to figure out what you are up tp?
If the car was that bad - why would you purchase it?
At least wait until the car was in "acceptable" condition before buying.
Nothing makes sense.

The only thing I want is a decent repair. Fix the problems. So, rather than hire a lawyer, which I spoke to again today, I'm trying a softer touch. Rather than go back to the same dealership, I went to another. Their opinion is much different than the dealership I purchased the car from. They don't seem to understand why their body shop can't line up the doors or fix the bumper. That's the same questions I have. What the heck is so complex about that? So hopefully, working with new people and an adjusted attitude, I may make some progress. I want to look out my driver side mirror and see the line on the door line up with the rear qtr panel. Is that so much to ask for? That is probably the most annoying thing.
There are other panel problems too, which are so tightly joined that the paint is already wearing off at the joints. So basically, I want these things fixed...that is GM's responsibility to me. So, is this too much to ask for? These problems really seem to be warrantee issues, are they not? Getting away from the jerks that sold me the car may help. What else would you like to know?

Don't know what else you expected, even GM's flagship brand "Cadillac" has panel fitment issues and a horrible interior.
You shouldn't expect anything better from a Chevy
That way, you won't make any human errors.
Which doesn't absolve GM of anything anyway.
My son and I recently toured the factory, and the museum, to take a look at the Bowling Green process; we were, admittedly, quite impressed.
However, once he reads these threads, perhaps he will think long-and-hard before he buys his Corvette.
I know I will.

There is more motivation behind people with problems or an axe to grind.
I got your PM and I will be replying to you there too. I have reached out to my internal resources and tomorrow I should have a plan of action. We are getting another set of eyes on your case and concern. Thank you for your patience!
Thanks,
