This is my first car with a manual transmission so I would like to know if this is normal or if I should take the car into service. Any suggestions or ideas on what could be the problem?
Your first manual? Not to be an *** here or anything, but are you sure it's the car?
When I took delivery of my 2014 convertible, it had a defect in the paint on the fiberglass black convertible cover that closes on top of the convertible roof when the top is down. Chevy wants to repaint my cover. I wanted a new cover. They said it does not matter since even the new cover comes only primed. Is that correct??? Everyone keeps saying do not repaint it hurts resale
Regards
Had an infotainment center quirk today while driving. The center infotainment screen went black (not the gauges, which all worked fine), then it seemed to be "rebooting", as it worked through establishing connections with ipod, SD card, and bluetooth phone after 25 seconds or so. At the time I was listening to Pandora and was kind of out in the sticks, so I might have lost cell phone signal at that moment, I'm not sure. I know that BSOD issues have been pretty common with early models, but my VIN is in the 17000s and my software version is 23427521, which seems to the version they have been flashing to FIX the problem. I haven't seen any screen flickering at all, which suggests to me that it isn't a ribbon cable issue. I'm guessing it really was a reboot after the system hit some condition that it didn't like. A second drive later today, and everything worked fine, including Pandora. I guess I'll wait to see if it crops up again, and if so I'll make a dealer trip to see if there is a newer software version to try out.
Vin #18993. 700 miles. 2LT non-z51. M7. Since delivery the car has pulled a little to the right. Took it to an independent shop and had front end aligned. All is good now. I have heard others on this forum complain of a pull to the right. I wonder if something in Bowling Green needs re-calibrated if this is a common issue.

Why didn't you first go to your dealer and have it checked for FREE?
Bringing car in tomorrow to dealer for what is now the INFAMOUS C7 Passenger Door POOR factory misalignment.
In this case the rubbing has caused a paint chip where door is rubbing against inside fender. Love the car but this is rather unacceptable since others have been pointing this problem out for months. My car was built on about March 24. Other posts have same issue dating back to last fall and earlier this year.
C'mon Bowling Green get that guy/gal on the passenger side "QA" relieved of his/her duties- not good to be chipping brand new doors from factory misalignments!
Wish I read prior posts before my son noticed the issue on the passenger side door...and chipped.
Hope dealer can rectify gap issue and not cause bigger snafu...
The doors I can peak about. It is NOT the guy who hangs the doors fault nor the fender guys fault. The doors are installed before the fenders are installed so he can reach the bolts EASILY. the guy who hangs the fenders puts a shim on the door so the fender can only go so close. It could have been a different person putting on the fender or another problem where the fender had to be removed to fix it. Many reasons. I worked with future products for 16 years and was a hourly worker and worked with hundreds of them. We all know our bread and butter comes from happy customers. We all have families to feed homes to pay for just like you. We can't stay in business without you being happy. Wasn't it stated last month the workers wanted to strike. One reason was GM cut jobs which means the work went on the back of someone else who may or may not already have a full load. I believe it was said some job cuts were to be inspection which may be the person responsible for the fit of the door fender. Who knows but I will bet the line worker didn't do it on purpose.
I appreciate your response, I was surprised to read many member posts with the same issue of passenger door rubbing against front fender. So it appears to be more than a single event...just frustrating to have a chip caused to a brand new beautiful car, from a factory alignment issue.

[QUOTE=Bigdog9586;1586871916]Why didn't you first go to your dealer and have it checked for free?
It was quicker and more convenient to go down the street to the tire dealer. I've been doing business with them for years. More convenient, faster service. Best $60 I've spent lately. I was only 30 minutes in and out.
Change to 'radio' to include XM and the your 'media' will stop going through the tracks. A flash-drive will still flash, but the next time you hit media it will still be on the same song. If you just push the off button, it will as you said still be going through the tracks.
where is this info???????????? car Manual or Infotainment Manual.

I'm pretty sure it's the car. I've been driving stick since I was a kid. Just never owned one. Unless there's some special trick to driving a manual stingray, then I'm gonna bet that it's the car. I could be wrong.
I either figured it out or read it here. I've had the car since Oct 11th and much of what I know isn't in the skimpy manual but read here or just figured it out. Sorry I can't be more specific but I know what I said is the way they seem to work.

I have reported earlier that my driver side window catches now and then when opening the door. Now I have stopped the car and shut if off, and I am not able to open the door with the electrical button so I had to do the lever on the floor 2 times so far. Also quite often I open the door, and it locks itself at the second position (not quite closed) and by pushing the door electrical button one more time I get out. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it a loose contact or what can it be? Any advise or thoughts would be much appreciated as I believe the dealer will be as confused as I am.
My driver's door button stopped working and I also could only get out by the lever. I took it in and it was only a loose connection at the door button. I was lucky it was not more complicated.

Picked up the car and no more leaks so far, although, I'll need to take it out and run it hard to see if it starts leaking again. Seems there have been so many calls about this issue that a bulletin was issued, #3750988. Calls for the dealer to remove the air filter assembly and clean it all out, replace the air filter and change the oil/oil filter. They also cleaned up the engine and the engine bay. Haven't had a chance to get under the car to see how well they did.
Anyone know where I can go to read the bulletin online? Should have gotten it at the dealer but it was so late when I picked up the car I forgot.
Just happened to me, as I went thru this exact same thing, and just picked up mine today, with a new filter and air duct, also a fresh oil change. Crazy. THIS SHOULD BE A STICKY!!

I too have had problems with the electronics in the car especially any type of media device, SD card or USB. I currently am having luck with an 8GB flash drive.
The memory seat does nothing! Turned on the exit feature once and that was a total waste of time.
However my main concern is the following. On April 11, 2014 I took the car to a local racetrack for a "Day of Racing" experience. The car ran and handled great. After I finished we discovered the car had spit out 1 1/2 quarts of oil thru the air box. I took the car to my dealer the next day and got the oil changed even though it had 40% oil life left. I did not want to just top it off. I wanted to start over. Plus they had to clean up the air box and install a new air filter. I expected they would clean off all the oil on the front frame cross member. But they did not. Wonderful! A brand new car (3400 miles) and now it's got oil all over the front of the frame. The dealer did have a service bulletin about this problem but GM offered no solution. The Z06 427 did not have this problem with it's dry sump system but this new motor sures does. WARNING... do not track your C7 until they solve this problem.
Since picking up my new C7 in February, the right turn signal regulator seems to be bad. I get a warning light on the display and the turn signal goes rapidly, but still works. Any clues as to what officially is wrong. My dealer is a one hour round trip, so I haven't been back for such a simple issue.
Seems there is an 'overfill' issue and some of the new ones are overfilled. It pays to check the level after you've warmed it up and let it sit for a few minutes. That was probably the issue with yours.

A rapid signal normally indicates one of the bulbs is out. Just something to check before you make that trip.
