Yes - two pushes but I didn't hold it longer on the second push. I'll try that because the trunk opens no problem with the key fob. Thanks!

Yes I did and it was a great experience. Unfortunately Chris was on vacation when my car arrived last week and there was a couple of bungled hand-offs, but when I got to the dealership to pick up the car everything went very smoothly.

Fast Dawg, about your frunk not opening w/the key fob... I don't want to insult your intelligence because maybe you've already thought of these possible ideas. If you have another key fob, will it open the frunk? If so, problem found, its the key fob. Have you tried to open the frunk with the button on the front of the car and/or with the manual pull release inside below the dash, driver's side? If these both work, it is probably not the frunk latch. If none of these work, it probably is something wrong with the frunk release or latch. I know they had some early problems with the frunk opening while people were driving the car and I read where they have corrected this issue. Hope you get this worked out o.k. w/o too much trouble. You need to be able to get into the frunk in case you need to charge the battery, otherwise you're out of business!

No insult taken! That's one of the reasons I'm on this forum.

To answer your question, no I haven't tried the other key fob. I picked the car up from the dealer on Tuesday, drove it a lot that day, and you know how the weather has been since then. I stayed home and read the owner's manual!!

I took it back out yesterday. There are four of us here on the forum who regularly converse on the Rick Hendrick Duluth thread on this forum because we all recently took delivery of our C8s from Chris at RHD. We took him to lunch yesterday and had a great time. I left there and went to Athens for the UGA shellacking of South Carolina. I didn't discover the fob wouldn't open the frunk until I was parked in my parking deck there. The button on the driver's door opens it just fine and it closes without any problems. It was so humid yesterday - and again today - that I'll go out and try the other key fob tomorrow. I sweated enough at the game to last a week.

Thanks for the suggestions!!

Lost the same driver side rear tire twice in the last 2 months. This tire has like 500 miles on it. Unrepairable. $600 up in smoke.

Sorry to hear, Sin City, same thing happened to me, twice now (luckily the second one was repairable)....one of the hazards of wider tires w/softer tread: higher odds they'll run over something and easier for it to penetrate the softer rubber.

Default Engine Ticking?

At the risk of being redundant, I did check the search function and did not find what I was looking for so I apologize if my question has been asked/answered. So, I have about 370 miles on my 2021 C8 and I notice a ticking sound coming from the engine bay while driving at lower speeds. Seems to go away once I speed up but this may be because of wind noise. The car drives great and I don't notice any roughness or sporadic power loss etc. Is the ticking the direct injection orders anyone think I may have a problem brewing??? Thanks for the help guys... E

Too close to the edge of the sidewall, I know for sure Discount Tire will not plug on like that (happened several times, unfortunately)

I've plugged worse than that with a plug kit. Pretty easy if you do it yourself. The tires are Run Flats and have never heard of (or had) an issue with plugging them. I'd say the worst that would happen is it starts leaking again. Of course the retailers will want to sell you a tire.

That doesn't mean it's safe. Every source I could find online states that within 1" of sidewall is not safe to patch. Also Michelin recommends not plugging, using patches only, and not on the sidewall. https://www.michelinman.com/auto/tip...re-be-repaired

Here are official US Tire Manufacturers' Guidelines for tire puncture repair:

...or in typical GM fashion, develop some new ones.

Got my car back. Took a day to get a tire. $671.

Glovebox not fixed. Some part is "backordered" Don't know which part but my feeling is its the switch. No idea when its available. Frustrating.

Car = great. Chevy service = not so much.

worst that could happen is your tire delaminates and blows out your tire at highway speeds.

The edge of the tire is being deformed in two directions (along the tread and up the sidewall) every time the bottom of the tire hits the ground. With a plug in it, you’re creating a stress increase around the plug at the tread to sidewall transition while it’s being deformed, that’s why they consider that area non repairable,

If they just wanted to sell you a tire, they’d just say the entire tire is unrepairable.
