Results are in:
Stock—429hp,435hp,436hp
Headers with Sport—Cats-442hp,442hp
**Gained around 7hp at peak and around 10-12hp through out the whole curve. The car sounds insane on the Dyno.👍🏼

Is that with the attack blue filter installed as well? Attack Blue claims that their filter will add 11HP by itself.
Wow that’s crazy ....I’m a little disappointed in this....the headers looked very similar to ARH but no where near the results....seams you get what you pay for????
I mean it sounds good , depends if your going for power or sound.

Hi Billy,
Ultimately I did this to improve the sound... and absolutely this set up did improve the sound! The extra power gain is a plus although not mind blowing peak numbers, but through out the whole power band the car is making some good addition power and feels great. I will start looking for another C8 owner in my area and see if they would like to line the cars side by side and I am confident I will pull away. Anyone in the San Antonio area want to test these cars?

Grab a ported tb for another 10whp and better driveability.
Kooks headers with kooks cats only give you an extra 11 ponies... I don't believe any independently dyno'ed cars reach anywhere near what the header and cat manufacturers claim without a tune.

check this thread...independent dyno post #37&38 made over 30hp

The LT2 has wide and O2 sensors and stays in closed loop, so it self tunes to the commanded Stock AFR until it runs out of injector. It has been able to compensate for, headers, cat and cat back, as well as Throttle body and manifold porting.
In case anyone is interested in doing headers on an HTC... don't, none of the current ones fit. Too tall and will hit. You'll have to wait for an HTC version to come out.

Any concerns about heat? I ordered these and they are shipped and I'm trying to decide if I should wrap them, shield them or something.
According to 2M Fabrication:
All of our C8 parts are sprayed with a ceramic based heat paint to help keep the heat in. You can certainly wrap them, but it is not needed
I'm not looking for the wrap to gain any benefits, but mostly just protecting the other components in the engine bay. GM did a lot of heat shielding for obvious reasons, and I feel like I should be doing some of the same. Especially around the catalytic converter.
Right now I'm considering a titanium header wrap, with wrapping the cat in Heatshield Products Heatshield Armor (1800f continuous contact, 2200 intermittent). That's about 1/5 the cost of the other catalytic converter heat jackets. I know you aren't supposed to use exhaust wrap on the catalytic converters as they can get too hot then.
