Clear is on, overall I am pleased. I will get some better pix when the fumes clear out. Couple of imperfections in the jambs (I have no idea how I missed them) but hopefully I can come back to fix. I got a little bit of a run in one spot with the color tucked on a crease and a couple of runs in the clear that should sand out I hope.
The below picture actually has a scratch in the body I missed. How? I have no idea!
You're getting use to your spray gun so shooting the rest should be easier....
Dust will most likely be your worst enemy. Wet the floor down before you do the final wipe down will help
looks great - don't let perfection get in the way of enjoying your car. Trust me, you'll nick the paint on that door jamb one way or another - so a bit of a flaw isn't worth fixing and repainting.

sand between base and clear.... that said, you can sand it smooth with a DA and 500 or 600 grit sandpaper (with water, of course)
and it really doesn't take long to sand it because all you're trying to do is get it flatter
or
you could do like a friend did, not sand the orange peel - then sand through the clear to the base so the car looks dull no matter how much you wax.
YOU NEVER SAND ANY METALLIC BASECOATS. I dont believe you are ever supposed to really be sanding basecoats unless you cant spray the clear in the first 24hrs after applying the base. think about it... you have metal flakes suspended in a semitransparent color tinted clear...that are making the surface reflective and allows the light to travel through once you his that with sandpaper you get a dull mess...

Today I am trying to get the car primed. That will give me this week to guide coat and block sand so I have the whole weekend next week to shoot the base and clear. I'll post up some pix later.
