On Target Range and Tactical Training Center
Okay - We are ready to give some dates for opening but please understand that we are still weather dependent for getting that parking lot in! Our current plan is to open to Members ONLY on May 6 through the 8 and to the General Public on May 9. Both openings will be at 10:00 a.m. Here's a pic showing that the lot is prepped for paving on Monday! Keep your fingers crossed as we may get rain this weekend! Judy

A group seeking the unfettered right to carry concealed guns without permits, anywhere they choose, is planning a gun-carrying rally outside the state Capitol.
The May 19 event is part of a push to have Michigan join a handful of other “constitutional carry” states where laws generally do not restrict how or where a gun is carried, nor is a concealed weapon license required. Vermont, Alaska, Arizona and Wyoming have similar laws.
The effort comes as Senate lawmakers are considering a bill that would streamline concealed licensing and allow permit holders with extra training to carry hidden handguns in schools, college classrooms, and other places they are now banned.
Organizers of the rally would like to take that a step further.
“We feel that the political climate is getting right for being able to recognize constitutional carry in Michigan,” said John Roshek, president of the Citizens League for Self Defense.
“The goal of the rally is to get Michigan to be the fifth constitutional carry state in the country.”
Speakers at the three-hour rally, which begins at noon, will include Larry Pratt, executive director of Gun Owners of America, which claims about 300,000 members nationally.
Roshek, 32, of Clinton Township, said organizers anticipate 300 to 400 people. Flyers promoting the event encourages attendees to openly carry their firearms in a display of support.
The largest gun-rights group based in the state, the Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Owners, is among groups promoting the rally.
Petitions are also being circulated in hopes of attracting legislative interest.
“Wer’e in the beginning stages right now in that process,” Roshek said. “We have reached out to one or two lawmakers and basically the response we got is, “Let’s have the rally and see what you have in writing and go from there.’”
