Fool ? You should know what that means. LOL..big, but cash-strapped corporations like GMC, enjoy hearing this silliness from sheep. When you are able to move out west, you will meet long time folks who don't bow down to commercial abuse.
Since you're the Shell Answer Man, please list who the owners of cars with a broken valve spring should contact at GM to find out where they sourced the springs, to what testing were they subjected, etc. Don't forget to get us the name of the supplier and their contact so they can be identified, and who should they contact at GM so they can be aware and that they know loss of use claims may be on the way. Until you can provide all this, since we aren't so helpless as we think, no need to post back.
I expect a surge of mechanical issues with C8’s in the Spring (no pun intended). MANY buyers in Northern climates will not be driving their cars over the winter (some not a single mile) and thus a “shakedown period” for MANY cars won’t even begin until then. Add to the fact the cars will sit there for months before even beginning the 500 mile break-in period and that will only exacerbate the potential issues.
Dont like the product don't buy the product. Is any car perfect? Is any car 100% American? Forums just amplify issues. Seems to me C8 issues are minor numerically. Anyone fly on a 737 Max lately?
A retired attorney I know quite well tells me consumers who buy a product with a commonly occuring mechanical defect may have rights above and beyond the warranty. Warranties are designed to cover the occasional unsuspected repair, and have disclaimers for consequential losses and your expenses resulting from having to return the car for a repair or adjustment.
Notwithstand, when a defect recurs on your car, or is prevalent among owners of similar cars, it moves out of the warranty containment clauses. This is where forums such as corvetteforum.com can assist in identifying owners sharing the same grief with their 60,000-100,000 car. If you identify some prevalent quality issues, publish here.

Not exactly Phil, LS1 forums helped me substantially when the engine on my ‘99 WS6 was using 3-4 qts of oil every 300 miles. I had to have the car towed to the dealership countless times, had to change dealerships to one 65 miles away because the one nearest me refused to work on the car.
I found all the information of others that were having the same issue on forums such as this, downloaded all the threads and contacted the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division. End result was a new engine installed for free & an extended warranty on said engine.
Update: It was determined on 9/28/20 by service that a valve spring was broken. Parts ordered news today 10/8/20 they were on the way expected to arrive today tomorrow. car should be up and running by Mon/Tue. So about 2 weeks from down time to get parts in. I would expect that time to shorten now that they know the problem exist.
The first time, all they told me was several codes were being indicated. After 3 days in the shop I picked it up and then the check engine light came on again. This time it indicated the transmission. Picked it up after a week and they told me the front lift wasn’t communicating with the car. So they updated software. This last time they said nothing was being indicated.
Do you know what codes were pulled, or what fix was? Mine has been at the dealer since it was delivered 6 weeks ago. 2 transmission codes and DIC message says “Transmission unable to shift soon”. Engineering has reprogrammed and even attempted a patch, and says TCM possibly bad and not available until November. Would seem like they would send one direct from factory given that Ive never even got to drive it.

Very good news to hear. Now that they are getting springs the down time for additional spring failures will be less. Have fun next week and yours will be good to go!
Some would say the people knocking on Engineers do not understand Product Development and constraints put on them by the bean counters.
I suggest you go research the ignition key foopah that screwed up GM. It wasn't a bean counter but an engineer who decided not to follow established procedures.
