Works fine! There hasn't been any sets for a Vert for some time (and probably wont), so I bought the one for the coupe and simply used a utility knife to trim the trunk mat to fit. This gave me an extra pad that if I wanted to, could use to almost double-up the trunk (but would limit carrying capacity).

The two seat pads just get placed behind the seats.

Don't expect some sort of "hushed" silence... but you should be able to discern a deadening of sounds from the exhaust (if aftermarket -- the OEM on my 07 was really quiet; since changed to something with more character...) and the pads behind the seats help deaden the sounds from rear wheel wells.

I tried the Block-it mat and also the pads behind the seat. Couldn't tell any audible difference so I returned it. The best way to cut down "some" of the noise from the cargo area is to apply one or two layers of a good quality sound deadener material like Dynamat or Damplifier, or many others. You should also add a final, thicker "mass loaded" layer like Damplifier Pro or similar. Check out this website for good products, theory and install tips. http://www.raamaudio.com

With a stock exhaust, the interior of the cars are very quiet, but when you start adding axle back exhausts, it starts getting louder and louder.

I did a complete cargo area deadening project but the best sound improvement I made to my base model was to upgrade the stock exhaust to an NPP exhaust and add an NPP in a box kit. Whisper quiet or lions roar at the push of a button.

Yes, many have purchased this product and if you do a search just on this forum alone, you will find an overwhelming amount of positive responses.

However if your looking for Cadillac quiet, this is not for you.
It absolutely works on taking the edge off tire/road noise and over the top exhausts. Plenty of data and testimonials from members for the C6 available.

It only takes approx 1-2 minutes to install (just toss it in.) Simply take the Blockit out for race events if you want. Your not permanently gluing a ton of weight to your car like other products.

But don't take our word for it, here are some positive posts I grabbed from the forum.
Its good that there's a bunch. Sorry that there is a bunch

The mat looks very polished in the rear cargo area so I don't think that I will add an aftermarket cargo mat on top of it.
While commuting to work this morning on the freeway I really did notice a difference. I did not have to crank the radio way up and the voices and music were much clearer.

If you are looking for a real easy sound insulation solution I would recommend this product.

There are two additional pads which go behind the seats.

All I can say is the drive back to Florida was significantly better with Block It installed. It's not Cadillac quite, but the road noise it much less at highway speeds. Even at lower speeds while running exhaust in track mode, the exhaust sound was clearer and not as cluttered as before.

First drive to work this morning and I can tell you it makes a big difference. Those that say it doesn't must have some really frickn' loud exhausts.

It took the resonance away that the road puts through the rear hatch area (hatch floor, plastic) and the road noise from the tires is probably cut in half.

There's also a noticeable "quietness" inside the rear now that I never had before. I always had that "white noise" behind my head from all the noises coming from the rear hatch area. Now it sounds like the entire car is quieter.

It made such a difference I am no longer worried about putting dynamat or peel and seal in my car. I will however still do the peel and seal on the floor boards under the car because now that the rear is so much quiter I hear road noise from under the car... lol.

Overall, it's a great buy and I'm glad I bought mine!!

Not the kind that requires you to remove the carpet or anything. Just put two pads behind the seats and one pad in you truck, or cargo area for a coupe. I drove my car at 70+ MPH for a good ways last night and WOW!!! Much smoother and peacefull sound. The stereo sounded better and the car just seems so much quieter in the cab area. I have had a C6 coupe and now have a C6 vert, and I promise you, this thing works! Just wanted to shout out a nice mod.

Even with flaps closed, the drone was very annoying below 1,950. Most of my cruising is between 1,700 and 1,950 rpms in 6th gear with 4.10 gears. With the blockit installed, the drone is gone at these rpms with flaps closed. Not just reduced, but gone. Below 1,700 drone is reduced to a bearable level.

With muffler flaps open the drone is reduced with the kit, but still louder than my comfort level. But it's a moot point now.

I was exhausted after driving it for 3-4 hours. The '15 Z06 was significantly quieter and rides more smoothly....think Chevy vehicle engineers softened the suspension bushings. Seems to be well known that the '15 is a quieter car. Just can't believe how such a relatively inexpensive and easily installed kit can be so effective. I could now drive the car across country....yes, it's that good.

So bottom line: I'd recommend(your hearing my vary) .

I can't say it's equal to the kits that require full interior dis-assembly since I didn't do that, but I definitely feel there is value in the product. If you are in Southern Calif and want to try in your car, come by and we'll throw it in and you can hear for yourself. Or just take my car for a test drive.

Started the car in my garage and could hardly hear the exhaust with the windows up. Backed it outside ( a lot of snow here now ) and tried the same thing, windows down ,windows up. I will not get to take the Z06 out until spring, but I can tell you that there is a substantial difference in the noise factor just sitting in the car and listening to it run.

Great product. Can't wait to do a more extensive test in the spring, but initially this seems to be a great product !!

Put my Stingray logo rear carpet on top of the mat and also put the mats behind the seats.

I can tell a difference in noise ; can hear the radio better and believe a long cruise will be far more pleasant.

The 'Vette is now about as quiet as my '11 Mustang GT 5.0, my previous "touring" car...

The pads aren't cheap, and do add weight, but they attenuate much of the most annoying noise from the back of the car. IMO worth the money.

I ran sixty miles today with the top up just to test it and was pleasantly surprised how effective the block it is. Road noise was significantly reduced and made the car very pleasant inside. Honestly I felt all along that the road noise was coming from the rear seat side panel area that houses the top mechanism.. Looks like I was wrong.

What really has surprised me is that the Block it has made a noticeable difference with the top down. I would never have expected this. Sometimes in heavy traffic the noise can leave me a bit frazzled after awhile. After fourty miles at freeway speeds top and windows down I didn’t have that noise fatigue I would normally have in heavy traffic. More time may be needed to test this for sure. Fit was near perfect. Only draw back might be that it’s fairly heavy. Maybe fifteen, twenty pounds?

I wasn’t expecting too much from this product but it has exceeded my expectations and I would buy it again.

First impressions:
The mat and seat back pieces are well made (the cut edges are very regular and even. The pieces are symmetrical ( I measured ) and look good. The fit of the mat in the cargo area of my c4 is excellent. The installation was very easy.

First test drive:
The first test drive can be summarized as: Amazing! I expected some improvement, but the I was amazed at how much. The exhaust resonance heard in the cockpit is very reduced and the tire/ pavement noise is also very reduced. I drove on several road surfaces including newly resurfaced, old pavement and concrete. The noise level in the cockpit was very reduced in every case. The high frequency noise on the concrete roadway was from the front tire area only.
A very good product and I can highly reccomend it.

I found it useful for keeping luggage and coolers a lot cooler but noise not as much. I heard they smell like tires brand new for a while. One can install an insulation kit for the same areas cheaper with better results and not much extra work. I just never got around to it on my C6.

Those are the old kits. The new improved kits have no smell. They are also thicker and have much more barrier which creates even more noise reduction.

Ordered/installed mine from TKO back in March of this year. I ordered the Blockit "Quick & Quiet" Mats PLUS DeadMats and noticed a difference particularly with road noise. I have NPP and mild to wild so I can get the cabin very quiet when I want. My wife noticed a difference too. I let the mats expand (comes rolled up in a box for shipping) and air out a couple of days in my basement and didn't notice any excessive smell. TKO was very responsive and helpful.
