P0700 , P0844
Got idle creep temporarily disabled and would only shift in even gears. Turned around the second I saw it and only was about a half mile from home. On restarting, it crawls fine and all gears seem to be working. CEL is still on. Have made an appointment with the local dealer. Anybody have knowledge with P0844? I've been unable to find a significant amount of information on the code and even less positive resolution. I know P0700 seems to just be a "turn the CEL on" code. Hoping it doesn't end up being a major issue.
As a follow up, the dealer did a transmission flush and reprogram. No error code or CEL has come back. Took the car to autocross yesterday which included 3 soft launches and 3 proper launches. No issues. No hesitation or shift weirdness. No CEL. My corvette lives for another day.

Thanks for the update. Mine goes to the dealer this Friday for a P2724, P0869 and P0868 codes. The car runs fine but when coming to a stop there is some severe jerking while at a stop. They plan to flush the transmission and go from there if that doesn't work. That being said, my check engine light cleared this morning. Taking it in anyway just to be sure.

Hopefully the solution is just as simple and satisfactory for you. My CEL did the same thing. Like a scared dog at the vet my cars CEL cleared as I was driving to the dealership to drop it off. The error code was saved into memory so the dealer was able to act accordingly on it. Taking it in is the right thing to do, you have a warranty after all. Good luck and dog speed!
Two issues with my 2023 with 1100 miles.
When top is down, the Top not secure error. Dealer says the left control module is bad but the part number on the module is not in the system. There support line states the 2023 module is not available at this time.
The Front lift has the Service lift system error. It goes up but just drifts down. I have not taken it back to the dealer for this issue yet.
11-13-2022 Still no part available! Dealer gave me the part number of the 2023 Folding Top Control Module as 85111808 but I have not be able to validate the part number. The parts department says part is on order but not available.

I had the front lift issue in my 2023. The dealer did all the technical bulletins that told them to bleed the system a couple different times. Didn't work. They then were told to order a new front lift power pack assembly. After 6 weeks waiting for the parts, my dealer installed that yesterday and the front lift seemed good now on it's first day back in action. Good news was, I drove it around for those 6 weeks while I waited.
Thats great news...keep us posted going forward...
Also just an FYI to the CF users...I just got back from Ron Fellows c8 owners class and had a blast...highly recommend it...during the Q/A session @ RF I asked what kind of mechanical problems they have seen with the c8s over the past 3 years...they replied none (which I found hard to believe)...They claim they go through atleast 10 cars per month....they buy them new as Z51s from chevy, they inspect the car & change the oil every 1,000 miles, inspect the brakes and replace as needed, than sell the car back to a dealer in California after 6,000 miles...and they claim they have not seen any major mechanical failures including transmissions leaking or not shifting properly, or valve springs letting go....which I found very interesting..

Wasn't there at least a post or two on here about doing a launch control launch at the owner's class and having the transmission fail?
My 2020 HTC with about 7500 miles has been very reliable but will be coming up on its 3 Year Anniversary before too long. My number is coming up on a 2023 at one of the MSRP dealers. I am debating the trade in and trade up costs, vs. the cost of extending the 2020 warranty vs. the unknown reliability of a 2023 manufacturing year vehicle.
I know there are lots of other factors in my decision, but for those of you reading this thread, do you have any impression of relative reliability of 2020 models vs. newly delivered 2023's?
Small request....please don't vector the thread off into the financial decision space. This is a really a post to hear forum member's point of view on 2023 bugs and issues vs. an older time tested 2020.
Thank you very much!

Since the 2020 is reliable and good to you keep it. What's the difference between the 2023 model you have on order and the 2020 C8.? If you are able to get a 2023 Z06 then that's a totally different Corvette but I don't think you are getting a Z06 as there is a 3 year wait on that Corvette model..
I've been trying to find info in this thread and it's annoying. You said on the first page anything that doesn't have to do with C8 problems will be deleted. Really? This thread is full of C7, C6 and wannabe comments. Somebody needs to clean this crap up.

A) Good Luck with That
B) Many do not look at prior posts on any thread - Not a comment - Just an observation.
C) Nice that you did a search first, but
1) Search is weak here - Do a direct Google search - It is not bad - I include corvetteforum.com in the search
2) Post what you are looking for and one or more of the many of the fine members here will reply with a possible answer.

That was with the C7. There were a few videos on YouTube but I wouldn't be surprised if they've disappeared. When I attended the class they didn't let us use launch control, but instead had an instructor do a launch with the automatic, then a launch with the manual as we watched. They empathically said that it had nothing to do with blowing up differentials, and that "we could try it with our own cars, it's covered under warranty" when I complained that we didn't get to try it out in class. They let you use launch control with the C8s at spring mountain again, so apparently that issue has been resolved with this generation Corvette.
Spring Mountain is a shill for GM. You'll never hear anything negative about GM, as it's clear who lines their pockets with income.

My 2023 allocation came up about 6 weeks ago..so I traded in my 2022 for a 2023 (not going for the z06)..Macmulkin gave me back the full MSRP on the 2022...I went with same exact build on the 2023...you only pay the differnece in MSRP & difference in sales tax which is peanuts....so for $3200 out of pocket I'm in the 2023 with a full warrranty and a newer car.......for me it was a no brainer...the only mechanical problem I had with the 2022 was the BOSE amp crapped out which killed all audio including the turning directionals which was replaced under the 2022 warranty but it took 6 weeks to get the replacement amp...that's the problem...most replacement parts are on back order...so even if your covered under warranty on the 2020 ...you cant get the parts...my advice is go with the new 2023 and kiss the 2020 good by
