Got sidetracked and forgot about it. Was letting the threads build up a little before I do an update. I'll get them straight tomorrow.

Nice camera/data setup. Can you elaborate on it a little further...what gathers the lateral data, (I assume a phone mounted inside?). I see you have something else there on the Apillar as well. Do tell. I see a cue in your username that tells me why you do sh*t properly...lol.

I had MF8's, RNR's and MF10's, authentic EF8 parts on an old SIR build years ago...I know the brand. 10+yrs, that's all I built...I exhibited with Bisi E, Full Race Jeoff at LA Auto show and SEMA, lots of others...if you were once deep enough to know those names.

1. Exterior camera: GoPro Hero 6 Black Edition mounted on front-most and lowest part of halo using a RAM suction cup mount. Set on 'wide'

2. Interior camera: GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition mounted on windshield with RAM suction cup mount. Set on 'wide' and spot metering turned off.

3. GoPro Smart Remote: used to start both GoPros simultaneously recording (didn't have to sync the videos in Race Render)

4. Dual XGPS160 for more accurate GPS

5. OBDLink MX Bluetooth for throttle, RPM, and MPH

6. Google Pixel 2 XL running Harry's Lap Timer Grand Prix Edition mounted with RAM mount X-Grip on bottom left of windshield (since it is in frame of the exterior camera it makes it really easy to sync the data overlay)

7. VideoMic GO (connected to Hero 6) mounted on harness bar behind passenger seat - although I think I'm going to remove this as there was just a ton of wind noise even with a Rycote Mini Windjammer and the wind setting on for the Hero 6. The audio from the Hero 3 on the windshield was actually better but I went ahead and used the Hero 6 audio being prideful

8. Race Render

On this track day's videos, I ended up pulling g force data from the Hero 6 data as the phone didn't record any g force data. This was easy to sync as well as the Hero 6 recorded lap times also so I just had to match those up and only display one set of lap times. This was my first go using the Hero 6 and its data. Have been using only the Hero 3 on the center of my harness bar previously. Waiting on my AiM Solo 2 DL to ship/come in from Winding Road Racing. Having HLT work is hit or miss at times.

I sort of got the nickname "Mugen" back in highschool as my last name is Nguyen and a lot of people said "Nugen." So, I just went with it for usernames as I was into Hondas/Acuras at the time although not as deep as you. I'm not sure I ever owned anything Mugen...LOL! I recall the brand Full Race and their manifolds but that's about it. I had a '90 Integra LS with basic bolt ons and body kit that was handed down to me from my brother and later a '93 Prelude VTEC with basic bolt ons and suspension. That's where the car bug started.

That's a hell of a setup! Thanks for the details. I'm looking to expand my system to more views and options. Awesome man. Funny stuff about the nickname.

2017 Corvette GS
Eagles Canyon Raceway
-CCW
-Manual
-Sport 2
--MPSS
-85 degrees
-no issues
-
no mods

It was picking up the begin/end lap time at pit in instead of the start/finish line about 500 ft down the straight. It reads a 2:00.80. Timing by hand gives the same number using the start finish line.

C7 GS: Ran 1:57 on PSC2 - about 50 degree ambient. Not sure if this counts because I don't have the data anymore. I didn't even know this thread existed

2017 Corvette Stingray
Spring Mountain 2.4 w/ bus stop
-CCW with bus stop
-Manual
-Sport 1
--MPSS
-85 degrees
-no issues
-
Spring Mountain 2.4 with bus stop - about 95 ambient
C7 Z51 on PSS: 1.59.85. Edit: My best via transponder was 1.59.35. I have the sheet and will post it if this thread is actually getting updated.

Is this thread being updated to the list on the first page? Seems like no edits to that list since last May (4 months ago) and fewer and fewer people bothering to post new info. Almost no ZR1 times being posted which seems strange too.

This was Jim Mero’s retirement present from GM...a poster of his best times (look across the bottom of the poster) and worst shunts.

GM’s (finally) published times (unofficially) for the C7 Corvette at the Nurburgring:
7:33 – C7 Corvette Stingray Z51 (S)
7:27 – C7 Corvette Grand Sport
7:26 – C6 2009 Corvette ZR1
7:22 – C6 2012 Corvette Z06
7:19 – C6 2012 Corvette ZR1
7:10 – C7 Corvette Z06
6:57 – C7 Corvette ZR1 (S)

A 7:10 for the C7 Z06, and a calculated (by best sector times) of 6:57 for the C7 ZR-1 @ the ‘Ring
